What an amazing teacher and instructor Mike Watson is. I was extremely nervous before I did my test, but with his great teaching skills and excellent explaining he really helped me to gain the confidence and knowledge to be able to pass my test. A well designed course, lots of pre study material. Then told what to expect, had the skills demonstrated then given enough practice to pass the final assessment. Mike is a very experienced and qualified mariner. Learnt a lot. 9/2/21

I would thoroughly recommend Sea Safe Boat School for anyone looking to get their skippers ticket. My father and I recently received our skippers ticket through them with the excellent service and tutoring from Mike Watson. Key things for me were having the “classroom” environment allowing for you to provide all the visual prompts and examples which was helpful particularly the navigation content.
Your style was also excellent, very experienced/ knowledgable and thorough but your relaxed manner put us all at ease and gave us confidence.
Similarly the practical assessment briefing was clear and concise and again we all gained confidence from the way you instructed it.
My feedback wouldnt change anything really. I’ll recommend Sea Safe if I come across people looking to gain their stickers tkt.
Think I’m going to store my boat down at maylands so will say gday when I see you.

Try the Gold course
Really enjoyed the day with Mike from Sea Safe Boat School. I did the gold course with no prior skippering experience. The study material emailed to me beforehand and the tutoring on the day was spot on. Despite really poor conditions (strong winds), everyone that passed the theory test was able to complete the practical in a safe manner and go home with a certificate! Thanks for a great day Mike. 15/1/21
Sea Safe Boat School not only gave our group all the knowledge and skills needed to pass the Recreational Skipper’s Ticket, but also a lot of great advice on safely operating and navigating a vessel once the test was over. Of course, it was also a very entertaining and enjoyable morning, with Mike a very engaging and fun instructor. I’ll definitely be recommending Sea Safe to anybody I know that wants to get out on the water! 23/12/20
