As the name suggests, Mike is all about safety. He didn’t just teach to pass the test, but to be better boaties. For the novice I would recommend the gold package to be able to spend more time in the boat and soak up the knowledge.

Mike was the 3rd place I called and the only one to pick up the phone and spend time answering questions about the course. He made a real effort to tailor the course to our skills, knowledge, and our future boat use.
He didn’t just make sure we passed the tests, he made sure we understood everything – so we’re now safe on the water.

Appreciated your room next to the Marina in which you conducted the mini-review of the theory. Although I had spent some time beforehand, reviewing the DOT booklet and videos and doing all the review tests, I still found it useful to experience your down to earth review of the important aspects of the theory.

We were lucky on the day of my test, to have mild winds and a sunny day. Having had almost no experience with driving small boats, even in the mild conditions, I struggled a bit to manage the boat, especially the throttle/gears. Now I have my skippers ticket, I will try to get some practise at some of my less than perfect boat skills.

I think you managed to find a nice balance between being welcoming and friendly and being professional in your approach, especially in switching from trainer to assessor mode.

I would have no hesitation in recommending your services to my friends and relations.

I would like to thank you and Sea Safe Boat School for the Skippers Training Course I attended Monday 5th December at your Maylands facility.I studied hard and had a couple of afternoons out on the river prior to attending your course , but none of this compared to the training and accessing that you provided.

I paid for the premium course and Michael was very clear and precise in the pre course training that I actually connected everything I had studied from the DOT skippers book a lot more clearer and confident once Michael had taken us through the pre course training. I actually was quite nervous prior to attending the morning but had studied hard and watched the recommended video several times , Once Michael was into the first 5 minutes of his training he explained things so much more clearly that it all just fell into place . I have attended many sales training and assessors course’s but I can honestly say that Michael knows his stuff , delivers it in a way that you can understand and is perhaps one of the best trainers I have seen. If you’re going for your Skippers ticket I highly recommend that you give Perth Sea Safe Boat School in Maylands a go .Thanks again
